The Client
Oakes Recruitment is a specialist recruitment consultancy based in Lowestoft, Suffolk.
The Problem
As a one-stop shop recruitment agency working in a wide variety of fields including HR, manufacturing, shipping and insurance, it’s essential that Oakes’ computer system is robust and able to handle a lot of data. Starting small, with a limited number of computers and little support, it soon became clear that the company needed some expert advice and help with setting up a computer network that was both reliable and secure. With so many providers working out of busy call centres and using jargon to explain technical issues, they knew they wanted to work with someone who was local, hands-on and easy to talk to. Following a recommendation, they contact us in January 2018.
The Solution
We visited the office and had an in-depth discussion with the business manager and her team to identify the company’s IT requirements. We designed and installed a bespoke system that not only helps everyone achieve their business objectives but complies with Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) regulations and the GDPR. We now monitor and maintain the entire system and provide support as and when required.
