Need to edit a PDF? Do this in Word

Need to make changes to a PDF? You don’t need special software. On desktop, open Microsoft Word… go to File… Open. Choose your PDF, and Word will convert it into an editable document. Using Word online? Upload your PDF, and it’ll do the same thing in your browser. Text, formatting, even images come across, though you might need to tweak the layout a little. Once it’s in Word, you can edit away, then save or download.

How to switch off AI Actions in Windows 11

Sick of AI Actions cluttering up your right-click menu in Windows 11? Good news… you can now turn them off. Just head to Settings… Apps… Advanced App Settings… Actions. 
 Now untick anything you don’t want, like Paint, Photos, Teams, or Microsoft 365 Copilot. If nothing’s selected, the AI Actions menu disappears for good. Say hello to a cleaner, faster right-click menu.

Turn On Edge’s Secret Battery Saver

If you use Microsoft Edge, here’s a quick way to squeeze more life out of your lap-top battery. It’s called Efficiency Mode, and it teaches Edge to stop wasting power. To switch it on, click the three dots in the top-right… go to Settings… then System and Performance.
 Now toggle on Efficiency Mode. You can choose when it kicks in. And if you really want to save battery, pick Maximum savings. Scroll down and set how long Edge waits before putting unused tabs to sleep.

How to change your keyboard layout in Windows 11

Try this if your keyboard’s typing all weird. 
 You might have the wrong language selected in Windows 11. The fix is easy. Go to Settings… Time & Language… Language & Region. 
 Next to your language, hit the three dots… then head into ‘Language options’… and ‘Add a keyboard’ to pick the one you need.
 Oh, bonus tip: To flip between layouts anytime, just hit Windows + Spacebar.
