IT Technician
S2 Computers are a small but rapidly growing MSP, offering a range of products and services. This is your chance to join our team, and help shape our future. We are looking for an technician with a solid foundation who can jump straight in, the role will also involve working as part of a team and we strongly believe into continuing to develop your skills and knowledge so a willingness to learn is essential.
For this role you will need:
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to work in a team or on your own and think for yourself.
- To be well organised and able to multi-task.
- Sufficient knowledge to advise customers and quote for solutions to their problems.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- The ability to work from home
This role will include:
- Setting up and supporting small and medium business networks including VLANs and Wifi.
- Supporting PCs and servers remotely and on-site ( Win10\11, 2016, 2019, 2022 and OSX)
- Installing business computer systems.
- Office 365 and Azure maintenance, installation and migration. Supporting customer applications.
- Microsoft Exchange would be beneficial
- Managing DNS and DHCP
- Network folder security and permission management
- Server&Workstation hardware support
- It would be beneficial to have experience of these products: ConnectWise Products, Datto RMM&SAAS, Huntress, Unifi Networking, Splashtop, Untangle Firewalls.
The candidate should have a minimum of 3+ years experience in supporting small and medium sized business networks ideally in an outsourced IT company.
Working for us
Working week:
Monday to Friday working hours 8:30am – 5:30pm (8 hour shift in these times with 30min lunch. The occasional weekend paid as overtime will be available if desired at the time)
